What we do

At Sanctuary Runners, we use running, walking, jogging, and shared activity to bring communities together and support the integration of all people in our communities. Our programmes create safe, welcoming spaces where participants can connect, be active, and build friendships.

We support organising and taking part in:

  • Weekly local runs and walks for people of all abilities and backgrounds
  • Special events and challenges, up to and including marathons and the Global Solidarity Run
  • Sports-based community initiatives, often in partnership with national sporting bodies

Participation is always free, and we work to provide transport, gear, and support to make it easy for everyone to join. Our approach supports people to improve physical and mental wellbeing, strengthen social connections, and feel part of the wider community.
