Governance and transparency

Sanctuary Runners is a solidarity through sport movement that brings people together through running, walking and shared action in support of community integration.

We are committed to working in a transparent, accountable and values-led way, with dignity, inclusion and solidarity at the heart of how we are organised and how we make decisions.

How we are organised

Sanctuary Runners is a not-for-profit organisation made up of a network of local groups in communities around the country, supported by a small staff team and guided by our Board.

Volunteers

Volunteers are central to everything we do. They lead local groups, organise runs and walks, support events, and help create welcoming spaces in communities across the country. Our work would not be possible without their commitment, care and solidarity.
