We are delighted to share that, for the first time, Sanctuary Runners has secured fundraising charity places in the sold-out Cork City Marathon!
On May 31st, thousands of people will take to the streets of Cork for one of Ireland’s most iconic running events – and we would love you to join the Sanctuary Runners team!
The marathon and half-marathon sold out in record time this year. This is the only way to get a place now, and there is a huge waiting list.
Do you still need a place?
Would you like the opportunity to run in the Cork City Marathon or to take part in the National Half Marathon Championship on the same day?
Did you miss out on a general entry? Don’t worry – we have limited exclusive charity entries available for the Half Marathon and Full Marathon. If you’re interested, please email Helen at helen@sanctuaryrunners.ie to find the entry requirements, or complete this form.
*Please note that submitting an expression of interest does not guarantee a place. These places have specific entry requirements and a fundraising target.

Already have your place? You can still run with us!
If you’ve secured your own entry in the 10K, Half Marathon or Full Marathon, you can still be part of Team Sanctuary Runners!
- Run on our team in our iconic blue tops to help us spread our message of Friendship, Solidarity and Respect. Email Helen at helen@sanctuaryrunners.ie to get more information on how you can receive our blue top and to get details about meeting up with the team on race weekend.
- Run and fundraise for us! And help us to continue our really important work by raising vital funds to support and grow our work across Ireland and beyond. If you’d like to fundraise for Sanctuary Runners, you can set up your own fundraising page by clicking the “Start Fundraising” button on our fundraising platform.
If you’re fundraising, consider asking your workplace if they offer a matched funding scheme – this is a great way to maximise your impact!
Why Run with Sanctuary Runners?
By running with us, you become part of a movement rooted in solidarity and welcome. You will stand alongside people seeking safety and belonging, while helping to create more inclusive communities and generate vital funds to support our work. Help us show what solidarity in action looks like!
